How It Works FAQ
What is the story behind this site?
Four Millennium era domains are the focus of this venture. Wordskills.com, Assessorskills.com, YourDreamBuilt.com and Casefashion.com have played a large part in the domain owner's work experience in education, training and assessment, and customised production on demand systems. They have a history of use preserved for posterity in the Internet Archive (The Wayback Machine ) since the beginning of the current millennium.
Now retired and in his sunset years the owner is offering these domains, with several other domains collected over the years, for sale to interested parties. The domains are available for purchase from a range of registrars that participate in a network (SEDO MLS) that allows fast transfer of purchased domains to the customer's preferred registrar.
All domains for sale are shown as Buy Now. Why can I not make an offer?
Domains sold though the SEDO MLS system are distributed with a fixed price through their registrars or partner marketplaces. 'Make an offer' is a negotiation-style listing that requires direct seller review and back-and-forth dialogue that doesn't fit into the standardised syndication that underlies SEDO MLS.
How do I know that the asking price for a domain is fair?
SEO tools can help you because they give measurable signals like search volume, backlinks, traffic, so it’s good for data-rich domains with clear commercial demand. Its weakness is that it can miss brand value, and misunderstand buyer psychology. AI tools are stronger at comparing sales patterns, and giving consistent estimates. Its weakness is that it still struggles with creative brandability, unusual niche value, and edge cases where human judgment matters most.
We take a simple view. Previous sales history of domains with the same or similar keywords can be an important indicator of a domain's value - someone has already purchased it. On each domain's sale page we publish a table of domains sharing the same or similar keywords that have previously been sold (domain name, year sold, amount paid). This should prove helpful in determining whether our domain's price represents fair value to you.
Which registrar should I buy a domain from?
All of the registrars listed should support sale of your chosen domain. Some registrars may be more expensive than others because of their participation in SEDO MLS. Some are cheaper than others. Namecheap is notable as its transfer pricing appears to be lower than other participating registrars, and Dynadot because most of the domains we offer are registered with it. Generally the choice you make should reflect the confidence and trust you have in the domain's registrar's level of support if, for example, you have used them previously.
How do I buy the domain at Dynadot?
Select Dynadot on the relevant domain for sale page and follow the pre-competed link to purchase the domain. You will need to login to your account (or create one) at Dynadot to proceed with the sale and transfer of the domain. All our Millennium Era domains, and almost all of the other domains we offer are registered with Dynadot (a SEDO MLS partner). The price you pay will be our asking price in almost all cases if you choose Dynadot - this is because the domain may not need to be transferred to another registrar The domain will be transferred into your account at Dynadot when you purchase the domain.
How do I buy the domain at Namecheap?
Select Namecheap on the relevant domain for sale page and follow the pre-competed link to purchase the domain. You will need to login to your account (or create one) with Namecheap to proceed with the sale and transfer of the domain.
Why isn't an .xyz or .ai domain showing for sale at a registrar?
The SEDO MLS system does support the sale and transfer of domains with these extensions, so technically these domains should be available to purchase. Each registrar has its own idiosyncratic way of presenting domains for sale on its site, so check other registrars to see if these domains are showing for sale under a heading such as 'Premium Aftermarket'. Try clearing browser cache and reloading. You may need to query the issue with the registrar if domains with these extensions are not showing.
My preferred registrar isn't showing in the list
Domain registrars offer domains for sale but not all participate in the SEDO fast transfer scheme. Many support the Afternic/GoDaddy domain transfer scheme but we do not support that yet. If you find and use a registrar that is known to support SEDO MLS check in their 'Premium Aftermarket' listings to determine if the domain name is available.
What other factors should I take into account in my domain purchase?
- All domains we offer for sale are without content.
- You will need to develop content for your site.
- The registrar may provide website builder tools for you to use, or you may connect the domain to external site builder tools.
- Be aware of recurring costs when planning your site. Costs will include annual domain renewal fees. These can vary widely between registrars.
- There may be other recurring costs - website builder fees, email service costs, and site security if you are operating eCommerce payment systems.
- Note that this website, domainifieds.com, was designed and hosted on Dynadot using its Website Builder.
How secure is the payment process?
When you buy a domain from our portfoiio you will be making a secure payment to the registrar of your choice for the purchase. We are not involved in the payment process. You should always respond to the registrar's instructions or questions, if any, when you submit your order for the domain. We cannot track the status of the sale here or monitor its progress for you.
